I took my VW in to replace my front brake light. It was a $600 repair! I was told it was shorting out because a previous repair place had omitted a part causing a water leak. To be "thorough" Darnell checked my rear brake lights as well. He found the rear middle brake light to be dysfunctional. I opted not to repair it due to cost. However, when I got home, I discovered he had cracked it. It Was Not broken before I brought it in to be serviced. I know this bc I had it washed my car before I took it in for repairs and I hand dried it. Not only did this crack on my brake light make me angry, but it caused a leak in my trunk & I was unable to close it after a freezing rain. This happened back in January. I walk with a cane so I think they thought they could take advantage of me. Or perhaps it is the usual scenario of the mechanic thinking a woman is easy money. I have been fuming over this for months. I have tried to let this go, but I hate to see other customers taken advantage of.
Gin, I am sorry that you feel this way, your vehicle is 18 years old and the reason Darnell recommended the tail light is because it was broken. I have reviewed the ticket in question and you paid us $600 dollars for the entire ticket, which included other services as well as fixing the front light problem, if there was an issue I wish you just had of reached out to us. If you would like to discuss this further please contact me 303-920-2268. Jason-Owner
